A few simple rules keep the print clean and the colours vivid for years.
When it arrives
- Unpack on a clean surface. Take the print out carefully and let it lie flat for a few hours if it travelled rolled.
- Hold it by the edges. Skin oils leave marks on paper. Touch only the white margins or wear protective gloves.
- No tape on the front. Use photo corners or mounting tape on the back of the print.
- Storage. To store it unframed, keep the print flat or rolled, covered with the glassine sheet from the parcel.
Framing
- Choose glass or acrylic. Glazing protects the print from dust and touch. UV-filtering glazing helps even more.
- Use a mount. A mount keeps the print away from the glass and gives it a gallery look.
- Size. The print ships unframed and measures 41 × 58.4 cm. It fits a 50 × 70 cm frame with an A2 mount, or a made-to-measure frame.
Where to hang it
The print is on Epson Premium Luster Photo Paper, 260 g/m², with a lustre finish. Never wipe the surface with a damp cloth.
- Avoid direct sun. Strong light fades any print over time. Pick a wall out of direct sunlight.
- Avoid damp. Do not hang it in a bathroom or near steam or heat sources.
- Cleaning. Wipe only the frame and glass with a soft dry cloth. Never use liquids on the print.
